Real Fruit is the Fruit of the Spirit

Friend, one of the biggest shifts I want for us as a community is this: Let’s redefine what fruit looks like.

It is so easy to measure growth by what people can see: results, recognition, outward progress, or visible success. But in our most recent episode on The Alita Reynolds Show, I remind you that God measures fruit differently than we do. In God’s eyes, success is obedience, faithfulness, and righteousness.

That is why Galatians 5:22-23 matters so much.

Paul tells us what kind of fruit the Lord is growing in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. This is the fruit that lasts. This is the fruit that transforms homes, friendships, churches, and communities. And this kind of fruit is often formed in the unseen places like prayer, the Word, worship, and moments of choosing Jesus when nobody else is watching.

I want you to consider this, too. You may feel like you are in a season where nothing is happening, but growth is often unseen before it becomes visible. You might not realize how far you have come until you look back and compare where you are now to where you were one year ago, five years ago, or ten years ago.

Friend, consistency with Jesus changes you. Quiet obedience produces deep roots.

Psalm 92:12-14 gives us such hope. David writes, The Godly will flourish, and even in old age they will still produce fruit.

That means there is no expiration date on your calling, your influence, or your ability to bless others. No matter your season, you have something to offer. You have fruit to share.

I want to encourage you to watch the entire episode called Flourishing in Every Season | Rooted For Life Part 3. Let it strengthen you, reframe your season, and remind you what real fruit truly is.

God is growing something eternal in you.

I’m wildly cheering you!
