The Hidden Way Offense Is Destroying Your Relationships

Encouragement Changes Everything

How Your Words Can Build Unity Instead of Offense

Have you ever noticed how quickly a relationship can shift with just a few words?

Sometimes it is not even what was said, but what was not said. A lack of encouragement can leave space for assumptions, and assumptions can quietly turn into offense. Before we realize it, distance begins to grow where connection once lived.

What if one of the simplest ways to protect unity in your relationships is something you can practice every single day?

Encouragement.

In this episode of The Alita Reynolds Show, we talk about how generosity is not just about finances. It is about being generous with your words, your grace, and your forgiveness. And one of the most powerful ways you can live that out is through offering words of encouragement.

Your words carry weight. Scripture reminds us that the tongue can wield the power of life or death. That means every conversation is an opportunity. You can either build someone up or unintentionally tear someone down.

I want you to think about this. When you feel encouraged, don’t you feel drawn closer to that person? Don’t feel seen, valued, and safe?

Encouragement strengthens connections. It softens hearts. It reminds people they matter. And in doing so, it leaves very little room for offense to take root.

So often, offense grows in silence. It grows when we assume the worst, when we withhold kindness, or when we forget to speak life. When you choose to be intentional with encouragement, you interrupt that cycle.

You create an atmosphere where unity can thrive.

This does not mean everything is perfect. Unity is not about perfection. It is about choosing love again and again. It is about deciding that your words will reflect the heart of Jesus, even in moments when it would be easier to stay quiet or pull back.

If this is stirring something in you, I want to invite you to go deeper. Watch the full episode, Freedom from Offense Part 3, on The Alita Reynolds Show. I believe it will equip you to walk in greater unity with others and experience the freedom God has for your relationships.

You have the ability to shift the environment around you, one encouraging word at a time.

I’m wildly cheering you!
