Are you are feeling weighed down by guilt, shame, or regret?
If you are feeling weighed down by guilt, shame, or regret, I want to gently share something with you.
There is a very real difference between conviction and condemnation. The Holy Spirit convicts us because He loves us and wants to lead us into freedom.
The enemy condemns us to keep us stuck in shame and bondage.
I lived under condemnation for years. I had already repented. I knew God forgave me.
I still carried the shame. And that shame became a door I left wide open for the enemy to speak lies into my mind.
When we hold onto unforgiveness toward ourselves, we are actually choosing to stay bound to something Jesus already broke.
John 8:10-11 tells us this. Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, Where are your accusers? Did not even one of them condemn you? No, Lord, she said. And Jesus said, Neither do I. Go and sin no more.
Jesus does not condemn. He convicts and then He frees.
So ask yourself today: Are you living in condemnation or conviction? Are you allowing the enemy to keep you bound? Or are you letting Jesus lead you forward into freedom?
You do not have to keep reliving the old story. You can step into the new creation that Christ has already made you to be.
2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us, The old has gone. The new is here. If this speaks to you, I would love for you to watch or listen to the full episode titled "You’re Still Punishing Yourself - But Why?" on The Alita Reynolds Show
I’m wildly cheering you!
