I know this topic can stir up deep emotions. It’s tender. It’s personal. And for many of us, myself included, it has been wrapped in years of criticism, shame, and comparison.
I want this conversation to be different. I want it to feel like a warm embrace, a breath of fresh hope, and a reminder of God's beautiful truth.
There is no condemnation here. Only conviction born from love. We’re not looking back in regret. We’re looking forward with purpose.
Here’s the truth we need to hold onto: your body doesn’t belong to you. It belongs to the Lord.
He crafted it with purpose, and He calls us to steward it, not to obsess over it, criticize it, or neglect it. When I began truly taking care of the one body God gave me, everything shifted. I had more energy, more clarity, and most importantly, I was more spiritually awake to what God was calling me to do.
Ever feel like you have just failed… had a bad food day, or a bad exercise day, or just lost your self control in a way that makes you feel that shame of failure? The good news is you can start again. God’s mercy is new every morning.
And, the even better news is that learning to surrender your own will when it comes to our physical health isn’t about diets, workouts, or worldly self-care. It’s about obedience. It’s about submitting our physical health to the Lord, just like we do with every other area of our lives.
