21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. Are you in?

Here at the start of a brand new year, my heart is full. I love that we get to begin this new season together as a Women of Faith community, choosing to set our hearts on the Lord with purpose and expectation. Starting the year with prayer and fasting is one of the most meaningful ways I know to realign our priorities, deepen our dependence on God, and invite Him to lead every step ahead.

I did not grow up fasting and honestly did not realize it was something I was invited to do. But once I discovered that fasting is an opportunity that God provides, and that it is not optional,  everything shifted. Scripture says when you fast, not if you fast.

As I began to fast and pray I experienced the clarity I had been longing for, breakthroughs I never could have manufactured on my own, and a stronger awareness of God’s presence in my everyday life.

Fasting is not about trying to prove we are strong. It is about humbly saying, “Lord, I want You more than my comfort. I want Your will more than my own.”

When we combine prayer and fasting, our hearts quiet down, distractions loosen their grip, and we become more sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

This year, I am inviting you to join us for a 21-day corporate fast beginning January 5.

We are doing this together. We will be believing for renewed vision, spiritual growth, healing, freedom, and deeper intimacy with Jesus. You will decide what your fast looks like, and you will discover that God will meet you faithfully in the process.

If you have never fasted before, please do not feel intimidated.

The Alita’s Guide walks through the details step by step. It explains different types of fasts, how to prepare your heart, and practical ways to stay encouraged. It truly will help you feel confident as you say yes to this beautiful spiritual practice.

And as we walk through this season, I would also love to invite you to join our Women of Faith Bible Study. It is such a life-giving space to grow in the Word, build friendships, ask questions, and experience genuine community. It is a wonderful companion to this time of prayer and fasting, because you do not have to walk any of this alone.

In the episode “Prayer and Fasting: How God Meets You When You Seek Him First,” I share more about why fasting matters, how it aligns our hearts with God, and how you can get started. I encourage you to watch the entire episode, invite your friends, and let the Lord speak to you through it.

Committing to a time of prayer and fasting is a powerful way to start the year. I believe God has so much ahead for you! As we step into spiritual discipline together, I am praying you encounter His presence in new ways, hear His voice more clearly, and experience the kind of transformation that only happens when we seek Him first. Let’s begin the year surrendered, expectant, and united.

I cannot wait to celebrate the changes in you and in me as we walk this journey together!

I’m wildly cheering you!
