Submit Your Feelings to The Truth: The Truth Train | Part 2

Life often presents us with seasons of pressure, high expectations, and overwhelming emotions. Whether it's work, relationships, or personal goals, the weight of our responsibilities can sometimes feel like too much to bear.
I know this feeling all too well. I used to push myself to meet every demand and be everything for everyone, yet I still felt it was never enough.
For years, I felt anxious and irritable during high-pressure moments, entirely overwhelmed by the expectations I placed on myself. The pressure to do things perfectly and navigate difficult circumstances exhausted me.
But then I realized—what if I could free myself from these burdens and embrace each season of life with a renewed sense of peace?
I had to ask myself a hard question: Where was this stress really coming from?
The truth was, I was carrying stress not because of the present moment but because of past experiences that had conditioned me to feel that way.
My body and soul had been wired to associate certain situations with anxiety, even when there was no real reason to feel stressed in my current reality.
The truth was, I was carrying stress not because of the present moment but because of past experiences that had conditioned me to feel that way.
My body and soul had been wired to associate certain situations with anxiety, even when there was no real reason to feel stressed in my current reality.
That’s when I decided I needed to make a shift. I stepped back, identified my feelings, and questioned their source. Once I recognized that my stress stemmed from past patterns, I knew I had the power to break free from them. Instead of obeying those old feelings, I chose a new path led by truth rather than emotion.
Romans 12:2 says, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." This verse changed everything for me. I submitted my emotions to the truth: that I don’t have to live in stress, let go of perfection, and that joy, peace, and love are available to me if I choose to embrace them.
So now, when I start to feel overwhelmed, I pause. I acknowledge what I’m feeling and remind myself that I don’t have to follow those emotions. I get to choose joy. I get to choose peace. And so do you.
If you’re feeling weighed down, I encourage you to step back. Ask yourself where your emotions are coming from. And then remind yourself that you don’t have to be controlled by them. You are more than your emotions; you can create new, joyful associations with any situation.
Let truth lead, and your feelings will follow. You are capable of stepping into a life of joy, peace, and love—not because circumstances are perfect, but because you choose to see them differently.
This is your moment to step into true freedom.
