Ask The Lord One Simple Question?
Friend, your Word for 2026 is not usually going to be shouted at you. Most of the time it is revealed in a gentle, holy whisper that you recognize deep in your spirit.
Elijah did not find God in the wind, the earthquake, or the fire. After the fire, there was the sound of a gentle whisper. 1 Kings 19:12-13
So here is how to find your Word of the Year.
Create a quiet moment with the Lord. Even ten minutes matters.
Ask Him one simple question: Lord, what do You want to grow in me this year Then sit with Him. Breathe. Listen. Write down every word that comes to mind. Do not overthink it. Let the list be a doorway.
Next, look for repetition. Does a word keep showing up in your Bible reading, your prayers, and even conversations you did not plan God loves to confirm what He is speaking.
Then take the word and look up the definition. Let it expand your understanding. Sometimes the definition will feel like a direct invitation from the Lord.
And hold tight to this promise: If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. Jeremiah 29:13.You are not chasing something hidden. You are pursuing a God who loves to lead you.
If you want me to walk you through this in a really practical way, come watch or listen to "Find Your Word for 2026" on The Alita Reynolds Show. You can find it through the link in my bio or right in my story highlights.
